Hello Lepton developers and makers,
There’s a lot going on in the Lepton dev world and it’s been a while since our last post, so let’s get right down to it.
First, if you’ll be at Mobile World Congress next week come check out the Lepton Maker’s Corner in the FLIR booth! Our booth in Congress Square is #CS60, and in it there’s a fun little area called Maker’s Corner in which we’ll be showing how simple it is to make with Lepton. We’ll be presenting “From zero to thermal in 5 easy steps” to get people started, and also demonstrate two really cool prototypes from makers just like you. We’ll show off the recent Maker Challenge winner Thermal Lookout by Erik Archibald and the popular Lepton Stereoscopic Goggles by Jenn Holt. Have something cool to share with us? Submit your project to us online so we can show it off for you!
Second, we’ve been updating the Lepton Maker site and there are some great new tools and docs there for you. When it comes to getting your design to market FASTER PROTOTYPING means faster profit, right? By popular request there’s a great new Lepton Windows App and also a Windows SDK available for free download, along with a helpful new Getting Started with Lepton® on Windows® guide from FLIR and GroupGets. There are also some helpful, updated Lepton engineering documents online like the new Lepton software IDD and Lepton Engineering Document. Visit the Lepton developer reference page for the latest technical information and download links.
Thanks so much for fueling the growth of Lepton in the devs community in 2018. We invite you to stay up to date by keeping up with the Lepton Devs Forum and blog pages. We look forward to seeing what you come up with in 2019 and helping you take thermal imaging to really cool new places!
